How to Have a Happy Father’s Day! [Husbands Only]
He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the LORD. Proverbs 18:22
Praise and love your wife every chance you can.
If I give one negative, I try to give my wife four positives. It’s the 80/20 rule. The idea is to say 80% more positive than 20% negative. After 30+ years together the best words a man can learn to say are, “yes dear!” “I’m sorry.” “forgive me.” “you’re right.”
My wife (your wife) is a blessing from God. Make sure she knows it. Personally, I have found that if I don’t like what I am getting then, I have to check myself to see what I have been giving. I find that I get what I give. When I give faith, hope, and love, I get to love and respect. It’s simply the law of reciprocity. I reap what I sow!
To have a Happy Father’s Day be sure you are praying for your wife and asking for God to fill her with joy, peace, hope, and love.
I feel the old saying to husbands is true. If you have a happy, holy wife, you will have a happy, holy life. When my wife feels loved she’s my number one cheerleader. I overheard my wife speaking to a group of woman, and she told them, “Don’t ever let another woman out cheer your man. Be his number one cheerleader.” That filled my heart with so much joy and love! Hearing this was an inspiration to focus on giving her my best — giving her something to cheer for.
Happy Father’s Day!
